This site was built for those of us who lived in Darby Borough during its Golden Years, that time after World War II and before the advent of malls and far flung suburban subdivisions. We were always aware of our town's long history and there are several sites already developed that highlight Darby’s rich colonial past. For me, and probably for you too, since you are here, it is the more recent past that haunts my memories. The parakeets at the 5 & 10, the Hobby Horse at Darby Shoe Store. The Carnival at B.V. M. These are the moments that shaped the lives of those who made Darby home during the Baby Boom years. This site is a work in progress and I hope you enjoy the walk down memory lane as much as I enjoy creating it. Contact Info: darbyboroughboomers@yahoo.com DON'T FORGET TO REFRESH YOUR BROWSER |
